Capitola residents of all ages have a strong sense of belonging in the community and a commitment to it. We want to build on the growing spirit of responsibility and service in our country and convert that spirit into a culture of community and participation here in Capitola.
Our goal is to create a strong neighbor to neighbor network invested in helping each other and our community by enabling an opportunity for local residents to provide and sample “micro-service” opportunities. By using some of the latest self organized, community moderated social media tools and online classifieds we minimize the need for ongoing administration, organization or funding. We do not want to become an “organization”. We want to become a self organized community network.
We are starting with a basic pilot project in Capitola and will build and grow from there.
